About the course

This practical Certificate III prepares you to start an engineering trade career as a fixed and mobile plant mechanic. You’ll build specialist skills to assemble and commission mobile and stationary plant, and develop capability in servicing, diagnosing and rectifying faults, condition monitoring and preventive maintenance. Completing the course supports entry-level roles and can provide pathways into higher-level engineering qualifications in mechanical plant maintenance. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.

Graduates can seek work as a fixed and/or mobile plant mechanic supporting the maintenance and reliability of plant and equipment across engineering and industrial environments.
