About the course
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a postgraduate research degree that builds advanced research capability through supervised independent study. You complete research training coursework early in the program, then undertake a substantial thesis (around 40,000 words or equivalent) guided by at least two supervisors. The degree develops proposal writing, methodology, literature review and data analysis skills, culminating in an original research contribution in law.
