About the course
This course develops advanced knowledge and critical evaluation of osteopathic theory and practice, preparing you as a primary-care practitioner for complex musculoskeletal and functional health conditions. You complete substantial supervised clinical training (including 610 hours) in the SCU Health Clinic and other settings, strengthening clinical reasoning and hands-on skills. Graduates are eligible to apply for practitioner registration in osteopathic medicine at Master level.
Career outcome
Graduates may work as registered osteopaths delivering holistic assessment and manual therapy for musculoskeletal and related functional disorders in private practice, multidisciplinary clinics and community health settings. The extensive supervised clinical hours build capabilities in patient management, clinical reasoning and professional practice. This Master degree supports entry to regulated osteopathic practice and broader primary-care roles within the medicine discipline.
