About the course
This Master of Health (Workplace Health and Safety) is designed for WHS professionals seeking to strengthen leadership and evidence-based practice in planning, implementing and evaluating workplace safety interventions. Coursework draws on graduate diploma content in the first year, with a stronger research focus in the second year including a supervised research project evaluating an intervention in a real workplace context. It is delivered online with some compulsory on-campus blocks for selected subjects.
Career outcome
Graduates may progress into senior and specialist WHS roles across a wide range of industries, applying advanced practice and research skills to improve organisational safety performance. Typical roles include senior health and safety advisor or manager, WHS coordinator, OHS professional/advisor, national safety advisor/manager, OHS trainer, auditor, quality and OHS officer, dangerous goods safety officer, and occupational/industrial hygienist. This is a master’s qualification in workplace health and safety.
