About the course
The Master of Divinity is taught by the Catholic Institute of Sydney and accredited by The University of Notre Dame Australia. It develops advanced knowledge of philosophy, Sacred Scripture and Catholic theology, with options to build depth in at least one theological discipline. Students strengthen oral and written communication and research capabilities, and can study across humanities, theology and pastoral fields with an optional pathway toward HDR study in selected areas.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to communicate and apply Catholic theological understanding in ministry, education and church-related roles. The program builds advanced research and communication skills relevant to professional pastoral leadership, theological support work and further higher-degree research preparation. This Master-level qualification supports work in faith-based organisations and roles requiring specialist theological formation within the Arts & Humanities discipline.
