About the course
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) is an additional year of study for high-achieving Arts graduates who want to deepen expertise in their chosen discipline. You’ll undertake advanced coursework and an independent research project under academic supervision, developing strong critical thinking, communication and research skills. The degree offers flexible specialisation across key humanities and social science areas at UOW’s Wollongong campus. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply advanced research and communication skills across government, policy and community sectors, media and publishing, education and cultural institutions. Roles may include policy or research officer, communications or marketing specialist, writer/editor, heritage or museum assistant, community program coordinator, or pathways to further research study. This honours qualification strengthens professional and academic prospects in Arts & Humanities fields.
