About the course

The Master of Dementia provides a research-enabled, cross-disciplinary understanding of dementia and its impacts on individuals, society and government. You’ll build skills in critical appraisal and research design to interpret evidence and address gaps in knowledge, supporting person-centred care and informed decision-making. Delivered online through the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, this is a master’s coursework program in dementia-focused health sciences.

Career outcome

Graduates may pursue leadership and specialist roles supporting people living with dementia and their carers across health and aged care services, community organisations, government and policy settings. The program’s emphasis on evidence appraisal and research design can support work in service development, education and training, quality improvement, advocacy, and research support roles. This prepares graduates for master’s-level professional practice in dementia-related health sciences.
