About the course

The Master of Construction Management is a professional degree designed to help students start or advance a career in the construction industry. It develops theoretical knowledge and practical capability to manage social, technological, financial and environmental challenges in contemporary construction. Students can tailor the degree through specialisation areas and may be eligible for advanced standing based on prior study.

What you might learn

Students build core competencies in planning, contracts, administration and the integrated management of construction projects. The course aims to develop the ability to evaluate and control technical and commercial aspects of projects, including cost and procurement considerations. It also supports professional development through applied learning focused on industry-relevant decision-making and project delivery.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles across construction and the built environment in Australia and internationally, depending on their specialisation. Potential pathways include construction/project management in contracting firms, quantity surveying and cost engineering, and client-side project management. Careers may span project planning and delivery, contract administration, cost estimation and broader commercial management of construction projects.
