About the course
This apprenticeship course prepares you for work in the glass and glazing industry, building core trade skills for manufacturing, processing, installation and safe handling. You’ll learn to select, cut, install, remove and replace glass in residential and commercial settings, with hands-on practice in measuring, calculating and using basic machines to shape, drill and edge glass. This Certificate III supports entry to the glazing trade in building and construction. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.

Graduates can pursue trade roles across glass processing and glazing work, supporting fabrication and on-site installation in residential and commercial projects. Typical job outcomes include Glazier, Glass and Glazing Tradesperson, and Glass Processing Tradesperson, with opportunities to work in workshop production, fitting and replacement, and specialised areas such as stained glass and leadlight.
