About the course
This Master of Arts by Research in Language, Literature and Culture develops advanced research capability through an independent, supervised project. You can investigate areas such as English literary studies, philosophy, communications or applied linguistics, building expertise in a specialised topic and contributing new knowledge. The degree is delivered in person at Bedford Park and supports progression to doctoral study or research-focused roles in Arts & Humanities.
Career outcome
Graduates build high-level analytical, writing and communication skills and experience planning and completing a substantial research project. The degree can support pathways into professional research roles across the public sector, universities, think tanks, charities and private organisations, as well as careers in writing, consulting/advising, teaching and publishing.
