Build advanced skills for a career in sport coaching and sport development, delivered in partnership with peak sporting organisations. You’ll learn to plan and deliver coaching programs for high-performing athletes, apply sport psychology principles, and develop capability in risk management, leadership and workplace health and safety. The course includes work-integrated learning opportunities with industry partners and elite sporting facilities in Greater Brisbane. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across community and performance sport settings, supporting athlete and program development. Typical opportunities include Sport Development Manager, Community Coach, High Performance Coach and Talent Manager. The diploma also strengthens pathways into further sport study and provides practical industry experience through structured work-integrated learning in the sports sector. Preparing graduates for nursing assistant, care worker, and clinical support roles, or degree articulation.
