About the course
This entry-level Certificate III in Fitness prepares you to start a career as a gym-based fitness or exercise instructor. You’ll build foundational skills to instruct fitness programs, provide basic healthy eating information, and support clients in safe exercise participation. Training is available in a hybrid format with options to study on campus and online across multiple Queensland locations. This is a Certificate I–IV qualification in fitness. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles in gyms and fitness facilities supporting clients with exercise instruction and basic program delivery. Typical outcomes include working as a gym-based fitness instructor or exercise instructor, assisting with safe sessions and providing general healthy lifestyle guidance within scope. This Certificate I–IV qualification supports entry into the fitness industry and can be a pathway to further study in exercise and fitness. Preparing graduates for nursing assistant, care worker, and clinical support roles, or degree articulation.
