About the course
This one-year honours degree is designed for high-achieving graduates seeking advanced research capability in high performance sport. You will build skills in ethical research design, practice and analysis, then undertake an original, independent research project with supervision from academic and/or industry experts. The course strengthens your profile for specialist roles and further study in sports science at honours level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across high performance and applied sport settings, including government and non-government sport and recreation departments, sports institutes and academies, and elite sporting organisations. Career paths may include strength and conditioning coach, sports/exercise scientist, performance or data analyst, rehabilitation coach, sports coach, corporate fitness professional, or health and fitness consultant in high performance sport at honours level. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
