About the course
The Diploma of Psychology provides an entry-level pathway for people interested in psychology or looking to build knowledge for future study. You will develop foundational understanding of psychological concepts and skills that can support progression into CDU’s APAC-approved Bachelor of Psychological Science. The diploma itself is not APAC approved, but it helps you prepare for further undergraduate study in psychology at diploma level. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles in psychology-related settings across government, private organisations, NGOs and community groups, applying foundational psychological knowledge to support services and programs. The diploma can also complement an existing profession by strengthening understanding of human behaviour and communication in workplaces. It is designed as a Diploma-level stepping stone toward further study and broader opportunities in the psychology discipline. Preparing graduates for community support, welfare assistant, and care coordination roles, or degree articulation.
