About the course
The Diploma in Health Sciences at Flinders provides foundational knowledge and transferable skills for entry-level work across a range of health settings. Designed as a short, flexible program, it can be studied online or on campus and completed in 12 months full-time (or part-time equivalent). It also offers a pathway with credit toward further study in an Associate Degree or Bachelor of Health Science in the health sciences discipline. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting health programs and services across community, government and clinical environments. Potential occupations include health promotion officer, community health officer, policy officer, health and aged care support worker, and health informatician.
