About the course
The Undergraduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education introduces you to supporting, engaging and teaching young children in their formative years. You’ll study four subjects drawn from CSU’s early childhood education offerings, with options to tailor electives to your interests. The course is designed as an entry pathway into the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary), providing credit on progression. This is an undergraduate early childhood education qualification.
Career outcome
This course provides a starting point for work and further study in early childhood education settings. It builds foundational knowledge of child development, play-based learning, literacy and safe learning environments, helping you prepare for roles supporting learning and wellbeing for young children. It is also intended as a pathway into CSU’s Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) to progress toward teacher qualification.
