About the course
The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) prepares you to teach children from birth to eight years across early learning and the early years of school. You will build a strong foundation in curriculum and education theory and develop practical classroom capability through supervised professional placements in settings such as childcare centres, kindergartens, preschools and Reception to Year 2. This is a masters qualification in early childhood teaching. The programme enhances curriculum leadership, pedagogical innovation, and educational policy understanding for professional educators.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to enter the teaching profession and work across early childhood education and care and the early years of schooling. Career pathways include teaching in long-day childcare, preschool and early primary classrooms, as well as leadership roles such as team leader, director or school coordinator. Other roles may include community education officer, education and engagement officer, and curriculum or policy advisor in the early years sector.
