About the course
This nationally recognised Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing builds the technical and practical skills required in veterinary clinics. You’ll develop capability to provide nursing care to animals and support veterinary teams, with delivery available on campus and online (including through an industry partnership). The course prepares you for employment as a veterinary nurse and is designed for entry into the veterinary nursing profession at Certificate IV level. The programme develops laboratory safety, sample handling, and basic analytical techniques for technical roles.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles in veterinary practices and animal care settings, supporting veterinarians and clinic operations. Typical work includes providing nursing care to animals, assisting with examinations and procedures, monitoring patients, and communicating with clients.
