About the course
This practical apprenticeship qualification builds the core skills needed to work as an electrician in residential and commercial settings. You’ll develop capability to interpret electrical drawings, design and build circuits, and install, test and maintain wiring, equipment and electrical systems. Training combines theory and hands-on workshop learning with trade teachers. This Certificate III supports eligibility to apply for an electrical workers licence in electrotechnology. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as electricians supporting electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding across domestic, commercial and related industries. The course prepares you to work with electrical components, wiring and systems and to follow drawings and specifications on job sites.
