About the course
This Certificate III qualification prepares new workers for entry-level allied health assistance roles in aged care, disability and other health settings. You will learn to support allied health professionals under delegated supervision, with supervision levels varying by scope of practice and experience. The course includes blended and face-to-face delivery and requires at least 120 hours of clinical placement. This is a Certificate III programme in allied health assistance. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may work as allied health assistants supporting therapy services in a range of health and community settings. Typical roles include allied health assistant, physiotherapy assistant, podiatry assistant, speech pathology assistant and therapy assistant. Work is performed under delegation and supervision of allied health professionals, assisting with day-to-day therapy support and client care tasks.
