About the course

This Certificate IV in Ageing Support prepares you to support older people while maintaining dignity, rights and independence. Developed with industry input, it builds skills for aged and community care, including supporting clients with complex needs and working with groups. Training covers palliative and dementia care, falls prevention, service planning and delivery, and health and hygiene, plus a 20-day work placement for practical experience. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
