About the course
This Certificate IV qualification prepares you for community services work delivering person-centred support, advocacy and interventions for individuals, groups and communities. You’ll build skills suited to community service, case work or case management contexts, with training aligned to relevant legislation, standards and industry codes. Study options may include face-to-face, blended or online delivery at CDU as a Certificate IV in community services. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
Career outcome
Graduates may work across community services and support settings providing information, referral, advocacy and outreach. Typical roles can include community services support worker, family support worker, welfare support worker, tenant advice and advocacy worker, domestic violence worker, community education worker, outreach officer, court support worker or case worker.
