About the course
This course prepares Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students for the performing arts industry as theatre, film and television actors. You’ll develop a rounded performance skill by integrating acting, dance and singing, alongside understanding Indigenous culture in contemporary performance. Graduates build audition skills and industry readiness for roles across stage and screen in this Certificate IV performing arts qualification. The programme trains digital design tools, visual production, and portfolio development for creative workplaces.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue entry-level pathways in the performing arts, particularly acting for theatre productions and screen work in film and television. The course supports development of audition technique and broad performance capability (acting, movement and voice), which can assist work as a performer or in related creative projects and community cultural performance contexts. Outcomes align with a Certificate IV qualification in performing arts. Preparing graduates for junior designer, production assistant, and multimedia support roles, or degree articulation.
