About the course
This professionally accredited Bachelor of Social Work prepares you for entry-level practice as a social worker, grounded in social justice and human rights. You’ll develop contemporary, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice capabilities and learn core theories and methods for working with individuals, families, groups and communities. The course includes Indigenous world views, sociology and social research, plus electives and an optional embedded Honours pathway for research-focused students.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue social work roles across government, community and non-profit services, supporting individuals and communities in complex settings. Career paths include frontline client service and casework, community development and advocacy, work in health and mental health services, child and family welfare, youth services, homelessness support, disability services, and domestic and family violence programs.
