About the course
This double degree combines social science and law to build insight into social issues alongside a comprehensive legal education. You’ll study society and social behaviour, including Indigenous knowledges and social inequalities affecting community health and wellbeing, while developing practical legal skills through an integrated skills program and internship. It is designed to add breadth and employability compared with studying the degrees separately as a Bachelor-level qualification in law and social science.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply legal knowledge with a strong understanding of social structures, inequality and human behaviour. Career pathways may include criminal or community-focused legal practice, policy and advocacy work, criminology and crime analysis, community development and social planning roles, and positions in public service or government agencies. The combined Bachelor-level preparation supports work across law, justice, social policy and data-informed analysis in social and legal settings.
