About the course
This Bachelor of Criminology (Legal Studies) explores why crime occurs, how societies respond, and how law and policy shape justice outcomes. You’ll study criminological theory alongside legal studies, using real-world case examples to understand victims, offending, and prevention. The degree builds analytical and communication skills for work across justice, government and community settings in an undergraduate criminology and legal studies program. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across criminal justice and community-focused organisations, supporting prevention, advocacy and policy work. Career paths may include community corrections, court monitoring, community and social services, policy analysis and evaluation, social policy development, market research, and administrative or business development roles. This prepares graduates for entry-level professional work in criminal justice and related social policy fields.
