About the course
UWA’s Bachelor of Social and Environmental Sustainability explores how social systems and environmental change intersect, and how organisations, communities and governments respond to complex sustainability challenges. You’ll study across disciplines to build practical understanding of policy, governance and community approaches to create positive change. This undergraduate Environmental Science degree prepares you to address sustainability issues in real-world contexts. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting sustainability planning and implementation across government, NGOs, community organisations and industry. Career paths may include sustainability officer, environmental and social policy support, community engagement coordinator, corporate responsibility/sustainability adviser, and project support roles in conservation or development programs.
