About the course
This Bachelor of Science (Honours) allows you to extend your undergraduate science studies through a rigorous, scholarly honours year. You will undertake an independent research project in an area of interest, developing advanced research, analysis and problem-solving capabilities. The course is designed to deepen disciplinary knowledge while building your capacity to generate new insights and evaluate existing evidence in a focused science discipline. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-focused and analytical roles where evidence-based problem solving is valued, including research assistant positions and research and development roles across industry, government or laboratories. The honours qualification can strengthen employability by demonstrating advanced initiative, critical thinking and project skills.
