About the course
The Bachelor of Science / Education (Secondary) combines in-depth science study with professional teacher education to prepare you to teach in secondary schools. You’ll build strong scientific knowledge alongside classroom practice and education theory, with a focus on developing skills to design lessons, assess learning and support diverse students. This is a four-year undergraduate degree in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers as secondary school science teachers and educators across public or independent schools, subject to meeting relevant teacher accreditation requirements. The double focus on science and pedagogy also supports pathways into education support roles, curriculum and resource development, tutoring and outreach, and further study in teaching, science or education leadership.
