About the course
Murdoch’s integrated Bachelor of Science / Doctor of Veterinary Medicine prepares you to become a qualified veterinarian through a science-based curriculum and extensive hands-on training. You’ll build knowledge and practical skills to address health challenges across companion animals, livestock and wildlife, supported by clinical learning in specialist facilities on the Perth campus. The program is internationally accredited and is completed full-time over five years in Veterinary Science.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for professional practice across animal health and welfare, working with species of all sizes. Career paths include small-animal, large-animal or mixed veterinary practice, primary care and emergency hospitals, and roles as government veterinarians in biosecurity, food security and herd health. Opportunities also extend to consulting in agriculture and animal welfare, and research roles supporting animal health. This is an undergraduate pathway into Veterinary Science practice.
