About the course
This accredited double degree prepares you to practise as a registered veterinarian, with training across farm livestock and horses, companion animals and wildlife. You’ll study on campus at a single rural site and build extensive hands-on experience from the first week through workplace learning placements and clinical rotations. The program is developed with industry input and focuses on animal health, welfare and rural and regional veterinary practice at Bachelor level.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for a range of veterinary careers in clinical and community settings, with skills relevant to rural and regional practice and animal industries. Typical roles include veterinarian, veterinary surgeon or clinician, and positions supporting livestock and animal health. The degree can also lead to government and industry pathways such as biosecurity or herd management consulting within the veterinary science profession at Bachelor level.
