About the course
This undergraduate process engineering specialisation lets engineering students build expertise in how industrial processes are designed and evaluated. You’ll explore how processes are modelled and simulated, and how they are operated safely to convert raw materials and energy into useful products at industrial scale. The specialisation is a set of four units taken alongside an engineering degree, supporting Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) study in process-focused engineering.
Career outcome
Graduates who add this process engineering specialisation can support careers in industries that design and operate large-scale processing facilities. Typical opportunities include process engineering support roles in minerals and materials processing, chemicals, energy and manufacturing, as well as work in process modelling/simulation, operations optimisation and process safety. This specialisation strengthens professional capability within an undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) pathway in chemical/process engineering contexts.
