About the course
This honours program builds on UOW’s Politics, Philosophy and Economics degree with an additional year focused on advanced study and independent research in economics. You’ll investigate complex ideas, develop strong research and analytical skills, and complete an honours project on a topic that can be tailored to your interests with academic supervision. It is an undergraduate Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in economics within the PPE discipline. The programme introduces business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership foundations for commercial organisations.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles where economic and policy analysis, critical thinking and research skills are valued, including public policy and social policy development, economics-related roles, business development and administration, diplomacy and foreign affairs, lobbying, and political advisory work. This Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree pathway supports careers linking economics with government, business and public-sector decision-making. Preparing graduates for business analyst, management trainee, marketing, and operations entry-level roles.
