About the course
The Physiology major explores how the human body works from molecular and cellular processes through to whole-body function in everyday life, and what contributes to disease. You’ll build foundational knowledge relevant to health and biomedical science, with a focus on understanding normal function and how it changes in illness. This is an undergraduate physiology major within UWA’s health and science study areas. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
A Physiology major can lead to roles in biomedical and health-related industries and research laboratories, including work investigating how genes and biological systems influence body function and disease. Graduates may also use the major as preparation for postgraduate pathways in professional health fields such as medicine, pharmacy and clinical audiology. This is an undergraduate pathway in Health Sciences focused on physiology. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
