About the course
UWA’s Bachelor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics examines major social issues through an interdisciplinary lens spanning philosophy, political analysis and economics. You’ll develop skills to reason critically, evaluate evidence and understand how ideas, institutions and markets shape society. The degree offers a structured pathway with a dedicated extended major and strong foundations in policy-relevant thinking within the economics discipline at bachelor level. The programme introduces business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership foundations for commercial organisations.
Career outcome
Graduates are suited to roles that combine analytical reasoning with policy and economic insight. Career paths may include policy or research roles in government, public service and international agencies, as well as positions in consulting, advocacy, think tanks and industry where critical analysis and clear argumentation are valued. The programme provides a broad undergraduate platform for economics- and policy-focused careers and further study.
