About the course
Deakin’s Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is an accredited, practical degree that prepares you to help people of all ages participate in meaningful everyday activities. You’ll learn to assess strengths and barriers, design evidence-based interventions, and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams. Across the course you complete more than 1000 hours of placements in diverse settings, building confidence and job-ready clinical skills as an occupational therapy graduate.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as occupational therapists across hospitals, rehabilitation services and community health. Career paths may include paediatrics, adult and aged care, mental health, neurology, disability support, and home modification or environmental design. With extensive supervised practice education and exposure to varied client groups, the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy prepares you for entry-level practice in occupational therapy across health and community settings.
