About the course
This hands-on Bachelor of Nutrition explores the science of food and healthy eating and how the body uses nutrients. You’ll learn food preparation, processing and preservation, and develop practical skills in a specialised teaching kitchen. The program emphasises industry application, with opportunities for professional experience through work placement and options to tailor study through related minors. It is an undergraduate degree in nutrition. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across nutrition, health promotion and the food industry. Career pathways may include community or public health nutrition, corporate nutrition support, food service and menu development support, nutrition marketing and communications, journalism, policy development, research, and sport and exercise nutrition. The program can also support eligibility for professional memberships and pathways toward accredited nutrition practice. It is a Bachelor-level qualification in nutrition.
