About the course
JCU’s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery builds foundational clinical knowledge, pathology and patient management skills to prepare you for medical practice. You’ll learn through hands-on training with a strong focus on patient-centred, socially responsible care, including experience in rural and remote settings. This is an on-campus undergraduate medicine degree offered in North Queensland. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue pathways to work as medical doctors following required internship and specialist training, with opportunities across hospitals, general practice and community health services.
