About the course
This honours degree prepares you to work as a diagnostic radiographer using advanced medical imaging to support diagnosis and patient care. You build clinical reasoning and patient management skills and learn to produce high-quality images across modalities such as x‑ray and CT, with exposure to MRI, ultrasound and more. Training includes on-campus practice in modern facilities plus extensive clinical placements in healthcare settings as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Medical Imaging.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for professional practice in diagnostic radiography across a range of healthcare environments. Career pathways include working in public and private imaging departments, hospitals, emergency and perioperative settings, with opportunities to specialise in areas such as CT, MRI, mammography and sonography. With substantial clinical placement experience, the degree supports entry into roles from diagnostic radiographer through to senior and chief radiographer positions as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Medical Imaging.
