About the course
Charles Sturt’s Bachelor of Diagnostic Radiography prepares you for professional practice as a diagnostic radiographer, combining imaging science, anatomy and patient care. You’ll start on campus with work-integrated learning from year one, transition to hybrid study, and finish fully online while gaining hands-on clinical experience. Training includes simulation and industry placement, with skills in modern imaging systems such as digital radiography and CT within an accredited professional pathway.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue registration with Ahpra (subject to accreditation at graduation) and work across public hospitals and private imaging practices. Career paths include diagnostic radiographer, CT or fluoroscopy radiographer, medical imaging technologist, theatre or mobile imaging specialist, and roles in mammography, MRI or sonography (with further training where required). Opportunities also extend to education and research in diagnostic imaging. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
