About the course

The Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science offers a flexible undergraduate pathway combining humanities and science study. You’ll complete core liberal studies units that build academic writing, critical thinking and ethics, then select a major from either Arts or Science and take supporting units across the other faculty. Electives and shared learning options let you tailor the degree to your interests and goals in an arts-and-science context at bachelor level. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue broad entry-level roles that value analytical thinking, communication and interdisciplinary capability across sectors such as government, education support, research assistance, policy, consulting, community and cultural organisations, and science- or humanities-aligned industries. The mix of majors and electives can also support pathways into further study. This prepares graduates for adaptable careers grounded in bachelor-level arts and science training. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
