About the course

UWA’s History major explores the forces that have shaped societies across time, including wars and revolutions, empires and nations, economies and environments, and cultural and social change. You’ll build strong research, critical analysis and writing skills while learning to interpret evidence and debate competing perspectives. This is an undergraduate History course in Arts & Humanities. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.

Career outcome

History graduates develop transferable skills in research, analysis and communication that suit many industries. Career directions can include education, museums and cultural institutions, archives and libraries, government and public policy, media and publishing, community and not-for-profit work, and roles needing strong writing and evidence-based reasoning.
