About the course

UNE’s Bachelor of Laws (3 Years) is designed for graduates from any discipline who want to qualify in law. The course combines core legal knowledge with practical, problem-based learning, research tasks and opportunities to build courtroom-ready skills. Study online or on campus with support from UNE’s School of Law to prepare for contemporary legal practice and broader law-related careers in Australia. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue a wide range of law and law-related careers across private practice, government and corporate sectors. The degree supports pathways into legal practice (subject to further practical legal training and admission requirements) and roles such as legal adviser, policy or compliance officer, corporate or government legal support, and positions where strong legal research, reasoning and advocacy skills are valued in the Australian legal system.
