About the course
The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is an additional year for high-achieving law students that builds on prior LLB studies. You’ll extend legal knowledge, strengthen advanced research capability through coursework, and complete an in-depth supervised research project on a chosen topic. The course is designed to help you stand out in the legal profession and can provide a pathway to higher research degrees in Law. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
This honours year can support progression into more research-focused legal careers and roles that value strong analytical and writing skills. Graduates may pursue opportunities in legal practice and related professional settings, while also being well placed for further study such as a Master’s by Research or PhD. It is intended to enhance employability and academic standing within the Law discipline at bachelor honours level.
