About the course
This double degree combines legal training with psychology to prepare you for careers where law and human behaviour intersect, including roles in criminal justice. You’ll develop skills for legal practice while learning to examine, explain and predict behaviour in individuals and groups. The Bachelor of Laws provides the first qualification required to practise as a lawyer in Australia, alongside a psychology major accredited pathway. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that blend policy, research, community services and justice contexts, such as policy advisor, social researcher, program officer, youth/support worker or mental health advocate across government, non-profits, business and health sectors. With further study, pathways may extend to professional practice as a lawyer or as a registered psychologist (subject to additional accredited training). Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
