About the course
This 1-year honours program builds advanced research capability in health sciences through a substantial supervised project. You’ll learn to design and conduct research, analyse and synthesise scientific literature, and communicate findings through a publication-style manuscript and other outputs. Working closely with leading academics, you’ll develop independence and strong critical, analytical and problem-solving skills, and graduate with an honours qualification and a pathway to further research study.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-focused and evidence-based roles across health and public health settings. The program strengthens skills in project design, data interpretation, scientific writing and communicating research to different audiences, supporting work as a research assistant/officer, project coordinator, or entry-level analyst in universities, hospitals, government and health agencies. It also provides a strong foundation for progressing to higher research degrees in health sciences.
