About the course
This degree builds a science-based understanding of environmental systems and how to protect and advocate for the environment. You’ll study areas such as biochemistry, geoscience and geospatial science, and learn to analyse environmental issues using field and laboratory approaches. The program develops practical, data-informed skills to support sustainable decision-making in environmental science at bachelor level. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that monitor, assess and manage environmental impacts across government, consulting and industry. Career paths may include environmental scientist or officer, sustainability adviser, field or laboratory technician, and environmental monitoring or compliance roles. The degree supports work in areas such as conservation, land and water management, remediation and environmental assessment as a bachelor-level environmental science qualification. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
