About the course
This honours degree builds core competencies in mechanical engineering, focusing on the design, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical components and moving systems. You’ll study engineering and physical science foundations plus materials, manufacturing and mechanical design, with strong project-based and practical learning. A motorsports specialist stream is available for students interested in automotive design and motorsports engineering. This is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in mechanical engineering.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for professional mechanical engineering practice across industries that design, build and maintain machines and mechanical systems. Skills in analysis, computer-aided design and manufacturing, materials, statics/dynamics, electromechanical systems and advanced mechanical design support roles in product and equipment design, manufacturing and maintenance, project engineering and technical leadership, including pathways into automotive and motorsports-focused work. This is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in mechanical engineering.
