About the course
UNSW’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Quantum Engineering) prepares you to design and build emerging quantum technologies by combining core engineering foundations with specialised quantum systems study. You’ll develop skills across hardware and software concepts underpinning quantum devices and infrastructure, with opportunities to apply learning in practical engineering contexts. This is an undergraduate Honours degree focused on quantum engineering. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles developing quantum hardware and enabling technologies across the quantum computing, sensing and communications sectors. Career paths may include quantum engineer, electronics/embedded systems engineer, systems or test engineer, research engineer, or roles in advanced manufacturing and deep-tech start-ups, as well as government and research organisations. This is an undergraduate Honours qualification for quantum engineering careers. Preparing graduates for graduate engineer, project support, and technical design roles across engineering sectors.
