About the course
The Bachelor of Economics develops your understanding of how individuals, businesses and governments make decisions when resources are limited. You’ll study the core areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, building analytical and critical-thinking skills for interpreting markets, policy and economic data. You can tailor the degree with an embedded economics major and add a second major or minor from a wide range of disciplines. This is an undergraduate degree in economics.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that use economic analysis and data-driven decision-making across government, consulting and industry. Typical pathways include economic or policy analyst roles, research and forecasting, market and business analysis, and positions supporting public policy and regulation. The quantitative and critical-thinking focus also suits careers in finance-related areas and further study, including honours preparation via advanced economics options. This is a bachelor-level pathway into economics careers.
